St. Louis Blues Player pulls off Babe Ruth Size Promise

St. Louis Blues Player pulls off Babe Ruth Size Promise

Arianna Dougan is a brave 11 year old girl who is currently battling cancer. Back in February, her wish was to meet her favorite hockey player, Vladimir Tarasenko, who plays for the St. Louis Blues. Tarasenko embraced the experience like a champion, paying for Arianna's gifts (Jerseys and swag etc.) and giving her the full NHL Red Carpet treatment. As one of her gifts, Tarasenko invited Arianna and her family on an official team road trip later in March. See the full story of Arianna's Wish below:

Well, Arianna got to go on her trip this week, which included flying with the team, going to team functions with Tarasenko, eating team meals etc. The trip started Tuesday and last night's first stop, the Arizona Coyotes, did not disappoint. We all know the legend of Babe Ruth telling the sick kid that he would hit a homerun for him:

Well, last night Tarasenko pulled off the "Babe Ruth" for his mini admirer as she stood in the stands watching the game on the trip he and his wife set up for her. Tarasenko scored!

These stories are why we love sports and particularly professional sports. Hats off to the Blues and Tarasenko. Here are more pictures from her trip.

The best part is that this is not Tarasenko's first time helping a sick kid:
