The 64 Team D1 Lacrosse National Championship Tournament

The way I divided up the  regions is what is going to make people the craziest not the outcome of the games. To have a "West" or "South" Region you have to put teams in those brackets that might not be considered South or West by a lot of people, but in these circumstance we have to shift the teams based on location. Here is the map how I divided the teams.

It's hard to break up the teams on a map and with 71 different teams we must find a way to appropriately "Region" each team. It was not easy.

After "Region-ing" each of the 71 Division 1 Lacrosse Programs, then we bracketed each team in it's appropriate bracket except that we had 7 Teams over 64. With an auto bid going to VMI (bc all Military Colleges get an auto Bid), we had nine teams bidding for two final spots in the "East Region." Here is that two team tournament:

With Dartmouth and Hartford moving on, we were able to fill out our 64 Team May Madness Lacrosse Style Bracket. I understand that the Regions may not be what you think they are and I understand that in a 64 Team Tournament anything is possible, but I think at least the Sweet 16 is pretty close to accurate. We will see at the end of the season how close we came, but until then, here is the fun of the bracket! I believe we should have a 64 Team Lacrosse Tournament for the National Title. If we could move from 16 to 32 that'd be a move in the right direction.
